Growing Calendar for Weigela Pink Poppet - 9cm Potted Shrub
Delivery: Early March to Early September
Plant Weigela Pink Poppet in your garden containers and at the front of flower beds. This rare dwarf variety puts on a long summer display of pink trumpet flowers, pleasing to the eye and a draw to pollinating bees which remain in the vicinity pollinating the flowers of crops like tomatoes, peas and beans.
Pink Poppet reveals buds in profusion from spring and lasts until late summer. Complement the blooms with nearby pink tulips and pink hyacinths for extra impact. Neat and mounding in growth and reaching around 40cm (16in) Pink Poppet works well in wall-side borders, at the front of flower beds and even in a row on the vegetable plot for welcome colour and to bring in the bees.
Prune the flowered stems of Pink Poppet once the flowers wilt and die off in late summer leaving the fresh stems intact. These green stems produce next year’s flowers for continual year after year displays.
Seems to be growing OK but a bit early to tell
