Armand’s a very tough and resilient variety that worth adding to your vegetable patch for welcome winter harvests along with leeks and winter cabbage. What’s more – you can steam the leaves too, leaving no part of the plant unused.
Grow in containers or directly in the ground depending on your space. As turnips are in the brassica family be sure to have a non-acid soil in which to grow and do not plant in a plot that had cabbages or turnips growing last year – to avoid disease build-up.
Well, I got the seeds OK. Clearly I can not have tested them yet. And it would be convenient [ for me, anyhow] if larger quantities were to be had.
