Growing Calendar for Tulip Brown Sugar - Tulip Bulbs
Delivery: Mid September to Mid November
Caramel-coloured Triumph tulips open up to reveal pretty petals and give off a lovely scent. Consider growing with other Triumph type tulips like Blue Parrot for displays to raise eyebrows.
Flowers are the classic cup shape which lovers of traditional tulips covet. Revealed on sturdy stems they are a fantastic choice for exposed gardens or courtyards susceptible to wind tunnels.
Grow with rust-coloured crown fritillaries or marmalade- coloured wallflowers for beautiful and scented spring displays.
Plant 12 bulbs around a 30cm (12in) diameter container or around a square foot (30cm²) area of soil. Plant up multiple containers for a festival of caramel-orange flowers.
How you receive your bulbs
You receive our spring-flowering bulbs in autumn in a plastic mesh. This is to keep the bulbs together in a pack which is nice and airy – perfect to keep the bulbs healthy while in transit.
Can’t plant straight away?
Keep your bulbs in a cool, light and dry place and preferably hanging on a hook so that air can get to the bulbs at all angles. Look to planting your bulbs within a week of receiving them.
