Growing Calendar for Tomato Corazon x3 Plants
Delivery: Early May to Late May
Grow Corazon for big harvests of impressive-sized tomatoes that are perfect for picking and baking in the oven, stuffed with rice or an egg. The naturally thick flesh holds in the oven and caramelises slightly to intensify its sweetness.
An attractive ribbed beefsteak type tomato similar to the marmande types of the Mediterranean they are lovely to slice too and serve with mozzarella, basil and olive oil. Tomatoes form on semi-cordon plants that really fill a space quickly and produce heavy sets.
Resistant to wilts your plants stands up to diseases which means you can rely on healthy harvests with no losses. Although your plants will thrive in sun and high light you can expect big harvests even when we have those dull summers.
We recommend you provide some support to your plants with their semi-determinate nature.
When you receive your tomato plants by post, water lightly, then plant them up in small pots. If the stem tip is bent, rest assured, it will quickly right itself when exposed to daylight to grow straight and upright. Read our blog for more information on why tomato plants do this.
Please unpack the plants as soon as you receive them and sit them in a tray of shallow water if they appear to have dried out in transit.
