Description
Sweet Pea Heathcliff - Heathcliff has lots of large flowers with the long stems of the Spencers but with the bonus of the exceptional fragrance of older Grandifloras.
Sweet Pea Cream Eggs - A modern Grandiflora type of sweet pea – which means more bold flowers and more scent. The luxurious cream petals have a purple edge which changes to vivid blue with age. Perfect for cutting too and bringing indoors to add delicious sweet pea scent to the house.
Sweet Pea Memories - Superb purple-mauve flowers. This good garden variety combines the rich scent and flower form of old fashioned 'grandifloras' with the long stems of modern varieties.
Sweet Pea Flora Norton - A 1904 heirloom variety and one of the most popular sweet peas. Lovely clear blue petals with notably large wings and a strong, rich scent.
Sweet Pea Killarney - Bright colour, wonderful cut flowers with a strong scent. Salmon cream pink, Spencer type.
Sweet Pea Blackberry- Stunning dark maroon blooms on long stems standout with a velvety texture. This modern grandiflora has a lush scent and an almost black hue, making it ideal for both the garden and home.
Sweet Pea Cathy - Award-winning Cathy offers lush, creamy white blooms with a delightful scent. It looks amazing when trained over an obelisk and can be cut for displays.
Growing Calendar
How to Guide
Sowing Indoors
Almost fill 12cm (5in) pots with moist seed compost. Sow five seeds, evenly spaced, per pot and lightly cover them with a little more compost.
Water well after sowing, but not again until seedlings have emerged. Place in warmth 10-15C (50-60F).
Sowing Outdoors
Sow 2cm/1in deep and 10cm / 4in apart. Water daily until seedlings emerge.
Potting on/Thining Out
Grow on indoor raised seedlings in unheated conditions, ideally in a cold frame.
Hardening Off/Planting Out
Plant 20cm (8in) apart from March onwards. Support with canes or netting.
