Growing Calendar for Standard Gooseberry Plant - Hinnonmaki - Bare Root
Delivery: Early November to Early May
Get hold of this delicious dessert and culinary gooseberry variety which reveals large red fruit every year on plants that show impressive resistance to mildew giving you peace of mind you'll receive lots of blemish-free fruit.
Hinnonmaki Red is extra vigorous and sets heavy crops of great-tasting refreshing fruit perfect for popping in your mouth straight from the plant.
Your plant arrives to you trained into tree-form which makes it extra attractive as an ornamental formal plant and at a height that makes it easy to harvest from.
We recommend that you water the root area of your bare-root rose on delivery. Try to plant straight away but if this is not possible your standard-trained gooseberry plant will survive up to two or three days with its roots buried in some loose moist soil. Keep out of direct-sun.
Roots a little sparse so required careful handling. The leaves are just breaking and we hope that the roots are just as active.
Nice sized, healthy looking plant
Thought the plant was very poor many years before we get fruit
