Spring Onion Seeds - Sentry

This tasty variety is ideal for sowing very closely in order to deliver high yields. It produces upright, dark and delicious stems. It can be sown every 4 weeks in order to deliver good yields throughout the summer. It is absolutely delicious in sandwiches and salads.

Sow directly outdoors from March through to August. Sow generously in rows 1cm deep and at a distance of 30cm apart. Cover lightly with soil.

Protect with netting or a fleece in order to prevent attack from birds and insects. Spring onions do not require thinning. Occasionally water during dry spells, rows should be weeded regularly.

Harvest onions 6 – 8 weeks after sowing by pulling individual stems.

Spring Onion Seeds - Sentry 1020-2860

This is a slow to bulb spring onion.

Sow Outdoors: March-August thinly ½in (1cm) deep and in short rows 6in(15cm) apart directly into harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times.

Thin Out: not needed pull as required

Plant Out: Sow fairly thick directly into harvest location.

Harvest: May-August as required,. Sow little and often for regular harvesting.
