Spring Onion Guardsman is a well- performing spring onion variety, great for growing in pots, planters and raised beds. It holds in good condition longer than its related cultivar White Lisbon.
You will be able to pull bunches of fine bulb-free stems over several weeks from one sowing as Guardsman holds well in the soil. The attributes of Guardsman is so impressive that it has been recognised by the vegetable growing experts at the Royal Horticultural Society.
Easy to chop in the kitchen and a great flavour enhancer to omelettes, tortillas and Bechemel sauces.
Small pure white with a mild flavour
Sow Outdoors: March-September thinly ½in (1cm) deep and in rows 6in (15cm) apart directly into harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times.
Thin Out: not needed pull as required.
Harvest:June-October . September sowings can be overwintered.
