Growing Calendar for Spinach Plants - Harp
Delivery: Early October to Mid October
Packed full of Iron and vitamin C, A, folate, magnesium and potassium, pick this upright spinach as baby leaf, teen and bunching leaf. Perfect for salads and stir fries. Harvest regularly when leaves are young for a continuous supply, allowing some to mature fully.
Plants arrive to you as ready-rooted young plants with an established root network, perfect for continuing to grow over winter for healthy stems and leaves next year.
Rooted plants come in a labelled polythene bag, which keeps the air around the leaves and stems moist and humid, and therefore healthy and happy while in transit.
This bag is packed in a further cardboard box to keep your plants secured and free from damage.
Unpack your plants on arrival and steep the soil of the root area in water to moisten the soil fully. Plant up immediately if you can, or leave for up to maximum of two day in a light, airy position out of direct sun. Keep the soil moist in all cases.
I have still to plant them and the harvest will be next year!
A couple were damaged when I opened the package, they were upside down.

Please unpack the plants as soon as you receive them and sit them in a tray of shallow water if they appear to have dried out in transit.
