Growing Calendar for Spinach Perpetual Seeds
Delivery: 5-7 Working Days
Any crop called Perpetual has to be good news. Perpetual by name, and perpetual by nature. This tasty and vitamin-packed variety of spinach is highly productive with larger, fleshier leaves than regular spinach.
We recommend you sow little and often from spring until September for a spring to autumn harvest of tender, succulent green leaves that will save you costs of limp salad bags at the supermarket.
Out of season you can even sow in late autumn so it overwinters and you have harvests as early as late winter for an extra early start to the growing year.
Lovely large leaves, can also be sown to over winter.
Sow Outdoors: March-September, thinly, direct into the required harvest position, 1in (2½cm) deep in rows 12in (30cm) apart. Keep soil moist at all times.
Grow On: If necessary thin seedlings to 4in (10cm) apart.
Harvest: April-October pick young leaves to encourage a steady supply.
Use thinnings as baby leaf. Use fleece to protect crop from frost or cold wind.
Standard Seeds E.C Rules and Regulations.
Planted spinach as soon as received in prepared seed bed. Doing very well.
Didn't germinate - bought some seeds for Suttons - thede were fine
Too early to say about quality of the vegetables but I have had 95% germination.
