Runner Bean - Aintree Seeds

  • Catalogue Code 1030-3182
  • Pack Contents: 50 seeds
  • Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit
  • Stringless pods- so easy on the palate
  • Sow indoors or outdoors to suit

Grow Aintree and you are sure to back a winning runner bean. Prized for their stringless pods, this recently introduced red-flowered variety yields a heavy crop of delicious beans with superb texture and excellent flavour.

Very straight, for the perfectionists among us, super-smooth and fleshy pods appear in big numbers up to 30cm (12") long. The pretty red flowers set reliably and the pods have a sweet flavour and very little string or fibre when young which make them so much more palatable than fibrous runner beans.

In every pack you receive 50 large seeds which are easy to sow. You choose to sow indoors in pots for an earlier harvest in August or sow directly outdoors once the weather warms up in May. Your choice to suit your growing calendar.

So impressive in taste and performance the Royal Horticultural Society gave it the Award of Garden Merit. So grow runner bean Aintree for good performance, great taste and impressive harvests from just 50 seeds.
