Beautiful wine-red perennials great for cut flowers for selling or growing on the allotment to bring in beneficial pollinators. Dark wine-red petals cup a central, near-black cone and the flowers look gorgeous en masse.
Easy maintenance grow Cherry Brandy in moist soil and choose a sunny site. Cherry Brandy comes back each year with more and more stems. We suggest you put one young plant in a 30cm (12in) pot or three within a square metre (square yard) area.
Cherry Brandy attains a height of 70cm (28in) so makes a great perennial for traditional flower borders. Why not try planting them with contrasting yellow flowers of rudbeckias and heleniums. Place yellow day lilies at the front of your border for lovely flowers of different heights.
Brings in beneficial pollinators like bees and hoverflies, which feed on garden pests and pollinate other flowers.
Very healthy looking plants and growing nicely!
Perennial plants are the mainstay of the flower garden; many will flower all summer, becoming dormant in autumn to reappear in spring. Perennials tend to be non-fussy plants and are easy to look after - they just need the old stems cutting back in late autumn, which helps to promote new stems and vigorous growth the following spring, getting bigger and better every year!
