Growing Calendar for Rose (Patio) Flower Power Gold - Bare Root
Delivery: Mid November to Early March
Rose variety Flower Power Gold is the one for you if you’re looking for a shrub to help fill your patio or balcony with bright and fragrant yellow roses. Flower Power Gold comes into bloom in June and flowers right through the summer. Because this rose variety grows with a neat and compact habit it gives your outdoor space a sense of formality when partnered with box balls and container trees.
Plant patio rose Flower Power Gold in a 30cm (12in) container individually and fill with compost rich in nutrients. Surround your rose with red and orange-flowered bedding like marigolds or monkey flowers to offset the rich yellow flowers.
Consider growing a row of rose Flower Power Gold together at the front of a border to form a hedge, great for pollinating insects like bees and butterflies, and forming a natural windbreak to nearby tender bedding which otherwise would be too exposed to wind.
Give your newly planted bare-root plant a rich, moist soil like John Innes No3. Whether they are in containers or planted at the front of beds they will appreciate the rich formula that John Innes No.3 offers.
Rose Flower Power Gold is both hardy and disease-resistant. We recommend that dead-head regularly so your rose produces more and more flowers to take their place for an even longer flower display every year.
