A rose to commemorate a special occasion is a long lasting gift. If a friend or relative enjoys plants and gardening, it can be a very personal and special choice, be it anniversary, birthday or just a heartfelt thank you there is a rose for any occasion.
Ideal for growing on the patio in containers. It is also a perfect rose to grow as a low hedge or as an edging plant and even acts as a useful wind-break for protecting small vegetable crops.
Variety arrives to you as a bare-root fully labelled plant with its roots surrounded by a polythene bag and the whole plant despatched to you in a cardboard box.
Bare-root plants are perfect for you to plant in the ground or in containers anytime from autumn to spring.
Has a minimum of three long healthy main stems which will burst into leaf and flower from next spring, and a good root network which will establish in the ground over winter.
Water the root area of your bare-root rose on arrival. Try to plant straight away but if this is not possible your rose will survive up to two or three days with its roots buried in some loose moist soil.
Once planted in rich, moist soil provide a thick layer of compost on the surface around the rose plant will keep the soil area warm and the roots stimulated.
