Enjoy the returns of raspberry Polka; a late primocane variety which gives you August to November raspberries both from new and old wood. Polka produces very high yields of quality fruit on poorer soils, and has good disease resistance to mildew
You receive canes that come from good stock; your plants are derived from mother plants raised in the laboratory to ascertain disease-free plants. Inspected and certified by DEFRA, canes are ready for you to plant about 38cm (15 1/2 in) apart, with 2m (6 1/2 ft) between rows.
Your plants will provide you fruit for around eight years at least.
Primocane (autumn-fruiting) varieties fruit on canes produced in the current year. After cropping, these should be cut down to ground level to promote the growth of new canes. Allow primocane raspberry beds to spread up to 75cm (2 1/2 ft) wide but we recommend that you dig out any canes which start to grow between the rows.
Growing away lovely. Look healthy.
Excellent quality. Compare favourably to those that a friend bought from a competitor, too.
The canes look good with plenty of root. I had to wait a long time for them to arrive though.
