At Marshalls we really love the Raspberry Malling Minerva, we love it so much because in our opinion it is the best early season variety that is available.
It’s a spine free, floricane with an erect growing habit, making harvesting for you as easy as possible. In addition to this, the compact growth habit of the Malling Minerva is ideal for those who own gardens or allotments that are smaller in space. The fruit that this plant produces is extremely attractive and has fantastic uniformity and a great shape.
The flesh produced from this fruit is firm and packed full of vibrant red colour, so it doesn’t only taste great but they look fantastic. The firm flesh of the fruit provides an excellent resistance to disease.
Plant outdoors from November to April. Pot your bare roots into a container with compost packed rich in nutrients and make sure it is well-drained soil. For maintenance trim back your Raspberry canes after you have harvested your fruit.
