If grown well spaced out Ilka can grow to 3in/7.5cm across without becoming pithy.
This means one sowing can last for weeks.
For an extra early crop, sow under glass and transplant in March.
Lovely large round radish
Sow Outdoors: March-September in short rows 6in(15cm) apart directly in harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times.
Thin Out: to 3in (7.5cm) apart to get really large radish
Harvest: May-October as required, for successional crops sow every two to three weeks.
