Choose raspberry Ruby Beauty for your kitchen garden for plants that will grow well in containers and use up only a small space on your patch. Dwarf in habit but equally as free-fruiting Ruby Beauty is great for getting a decent harvest and having attractive, non-rangy plants for a visual display.
Really easy raspberry to grow and look after- it’s a dwarf compact variety ideal for growing in containers and no need for supports.
Picking is made really easy thanks to its spineless stems and you can cover them easily too with manageable netting to keep the birds away.
This is a floricane variety: we suggest you harvest fruits in early summer, and simply cut the fruiting stems to ground level once they’ve given you harvests. There should be some strong leafy (non-fruiting) stems that have emerged from the ground. Let these grow on and they’ll fruit the following summer.
All good. Nothing bad.....
Plant arrived a little battered due to the long distance it had to travel. Some of the leaves were damaged and there has been die back hoping it will pick up and produce fruits in years to come.
The plant was damaged, leaves were dead and hanging off
