Pea 'Alderman' is a firm favourite of home growers up and down the country. A dependable variety that gives you big crops of large, quality dark green pea pods.

Withstanding the tests of time since the 1890's Alderman has a tall growth habit that you will need to support with bamboos and string.

Take advantage of the extended cropping period from July to September included and the quick sowing to harvest time of just 2½ months. Enjoy as mature plump pods or as early mange-tout like beans if you're keen to taste the great flavour earlier on.

It’s the sweetness that really ring trues with this beautiful-tasting variety so enjoy big harvests of a pea with big taste and intensity.

No fresh vegetables in the fridge and only a bag of peas lurking in the freezer? No worries, this takes minutes to prepare and is equally successful with garden peas and fresh mint may replaced by pre-frozen - but please don't use dried.
