Archer is well known for its strong germination and vigorous, uniform growing. A great variety if you’re growing parsnips for the first time as the seeds germinate well under normal, and therefore variable, UK conditions outdoors. Once your parsnips are growing in earnest through the summer you’re safe in the knowledge that the developing roots are canker resistant and won’t succumb to this harmful disease.

Popular in the exhibition world, this is a reliable parsnip with quality roots. Even if your parsnips don’t make it to the local vegetable show you’ll be impressing guests you invite into your kitchen and garden.

Archer holds well in the soil so it pays to leave picking until the first frost for a sweeter taste to the roots. Of course, if we have a mild winter without frost, start picking from October and your parsnip Archer will be well flavoured.

Good condition quick delivery

Zero germination using pre-chitting method, which in previous years has worked very well with other suppliers. No signs of life after 4 weeks and now is too late in the season to start again. Very unhappy as looks like no parsnips this year. Will not be purchasing again
