With a much more intense flavour than curled varieties, this makes an excellent addition to salads and sauces.
An ideal herb for garnishing too.
More intense flavour than other varieties
Sow Indoors: Thinly In clean trays of firm pre watered compost, cover with ¼in (½cm) of vermiculite or sieved compost. Place in warmth 10-15°C (50-60°F) and keep moist at all times.
Sow Outdoors: March-April in direct harvest location at ½in (1cm) deep In rows 12in (30cm) apart. Thin out to 8in (20cm) apart.
Plant Out: May-June Harden off, and plant when fear of frost has past, at 8in (20cm) apart in semi-shade.
Harvest: June-October Remove flowering stems as they appear.
Parsley can be very slow to germinate.
