Nectarine Tree 'Lord Napier' 9L

  • Catalogue Code 1070-9400
  • Pack Contents: 1x 9L fruit tree

Nectarine Lord Napier is a very early nectarine and also very large, it is suited for the sunny parts of the UK. The skin of Lord Napier is a very dark crimson colour in full sun.

Whilst most English nectarine varieties tend to have yellow-flesh, Lord Napier has beautiful white flesh. It is also a ‘freestone’ type of nectarine, this means that the flesh does not cling to the stone so is very easy to remove the stone if you are using the variety for cooking.

The variety is best grown on or next to a south-facing wall if possible, or in a very sunny area of you garden/orchard.

Lord Napier trees are one of the earliest and also largest fruiting nectarines, they have been grown very successfully in the UK since the early 1860’s!

When in the full sun the nectarines skin has a wonderful, dark crimson colour. Inside the delicious juicy, white flesh has a melt-in-the-mouth texture. You can fully appreciate that is looks lovely and tastes even better than it looks!
