Mushroom Pate

Create a delicious pate, excellent when served with french bread as a starter.

  • 250g of Sliced Chestnut Mushrooms
  • 1 Peeled and Chopped Garlic Clove
  • 1 tbsp of Fresh Chopped Thyme
  • 100g of Unsalted Butter
  • 30g of Cream Cheese
  • Salt
Mushroom Pate


1. Melt a small knob of the butter in large frying pan

2. Fry mushrooms on high heat 30 secs

3. Add pinch salt, garlic, thyme

4. Turn heat down cook further 5 -6 mins

5. Cool for 5 mins

6. Add to food processor with the butter and cream cheese

7. Blitz for 30secs, scrape sides, then another 30 secs

8. Place into ramekins and chill for 1 hour
