  • Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit

The first wrinkle seeded mangetout. A Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit variety that gives you the best of both worlds in home-grown peas. Here’s how!

First pick delicious, sweet flat mangetout pods that are ready from around June if you sow in early spring. Leave at least ten pea pods to develop so they swell to the point they are practically bursting at which point shell out the peas, which are equally sweet and often sweeter than smooth-seeded types.

With every packet of seeds you get full instructions on when to sow and how, plus additional tips on caring for your pea plants as they develop over summer. Each packets contains around 200 seeds with the potential to give you hundreds of pods whether you favour them as early mange-touts or mature, sweet winkled peas.

Our early sowings of Broad Beans and Mange Tout Peas are now growing nicely - despite the attentions of mice. We grow the early crops in the greenhouse and once other plants (tomatoes, cucumbers and sweet peppers) need the space under glass we move the containers with peas and beans out into the veg garden where they continue to grow and be harvested.

Our products are all grown with the utmost care and to high standards of quality. We regularly check our nursery stock to determine exactly when they will be at the optimum time for despatch.

We despatch our fresh, nursery-grown live plants (including vegetables, trees and flowers) when they are at a stage of growth ready for you, the customer, to plant on at home.

The delivery period shown on your order confirmation indicates when you can expect to receive your order and we will endeavour to despatch your plants in this period within 7-14 days
