This impactful pollen-free, chocolate-orange lily variety has showy, orange flowers with dark brown centres and looks lovely in pots on the patio or in the soil as part of your flowerbed.
Pollen-free, enjoy clean, stainless clothes and furniture when you have these lilies in vases indoors. A perfect contender for cut flowers. The dramatic orange petals with contrasting brown are just brilliant.
Simply plant the bulbs about 3in (8cm) deep in the soil in spring and then watch the lilies develop quickly into gorgeous flowers that very season.
We give you 3 plump lily bulbs which will fit 1 pot perfectly. Plant the bulbs in a triangular formation in a pot that’s 12in (30cm) in diameter. Alternatively plant in a flowerbed with bulbs spaced 14in (35cm) apart if you’re growing them as a group of lilies. We recommend a cluster of 5-10 bulbs for a lovely impactful display.
If you have an allotment and look for some flower colour, grow these lilies, spacing bulbs 14in (35cm) apart. They enjoy a rich soil, typical of soil in allotments, given it’s free draining and in full sun.
How your plants arrive
Your plant arrives to you as 3 bulbs. Once planted in spring, they sprout to develop lovely leaves and handsome flower spikes through the summer.
The bulbs arrive in a plastic bag with ventilation holes so that the bulbs gets plenty of air. This ensures the bulbs are kept healthy and prevents the bulbs from rotting, which can affect the health of the plants when they are growing.
Check your bulb are firm, plump and free of mould or bruises.
