Growing Calendar for Lily Asiatic Orange - Bulbs

One of the earliest lilies to bloom, the Orange Asiatic Lily summer flowering bulb is dependable perennial that will flower from July until the first frost. The orange lily is said to represent passion and you will certainly fall in love with the warm, delightful displays this flame-like flower can create.
They will look beautiful in any garden whether big or small as they will thrive in both borders and containers. This lily puts on a great show and the iconic trumpet like blooms will not disappoint as they flower through the summer. The dark green, strong stems complement the orange and make them a great choice for cut flowers and bouquets. Just cut them as they are about to open and they will last for up to two weeks.
Plant these lilies 45cm apart and 15cm deep in fertile, well-drained soil and make sure they are in full or partial sun for the best results. This lily can reach a mature height of 120com and can spread to a width of 30cm. If you want to protect the roots from the cold, why not plant some shorter plants around it to really enhance your garden display.
