Summer to autumn cropping, producing solid, tightly pack heads.
Ideal for spring cropping in frames as well as outdoors.
Resistant to mildew and lettuce root aphid.
Produces solid tightly packed heads.
Sow Indoors: February-April thinly ½in (1cm) deep in clean trays or modules of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.
Sow Outdoors: May-June thinly ½in (1cm) deep in direct harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times.
Thin Out: 12in (30cm) apart, use thinnings as baby leaf.
Plant Out: May-June into the required harvest position 12in (30cm) apart with 12in (30cm) between each row when plants have 3-4 true leaves.
Harvest when centre feels firm.

This is loose sort of iceberg which I like and with a nice crunch and taste. It produced decent sized heads but not too big just right for the two of us. Matured quite quickly in the polytunnel. I like it.
