Delivery: 5-7 Working Days
A wonderful addition to the winter garden, this beautiful kale has red tinged leaves that turn crimson in cooler weather.
Ideal for successive cutting it keeps on producing tender leaves for months on end.
Delicious winter vegetable, rich purple colour.
Sow Indoors: April-May sow in a pre watered seed bed ½in (1cm) deep.
Sow Outdoors: June-July Transplant when 5in (12cm) high into pre watered soil and firm in. Keep soil moist at all times.
Plant Out: June-July in rows 18in (45cm) apart and 18in (45cm) between plants.
Harvest: November-April Start picking young leaves from the centre of the plant to encourage side shoots.
Keep feeding plants to prolong shooting.
They didn't come in time for me to sow them.....will have to wait for next year. The original packet that came with my February order are sown, planted out and growing and it looks delicious. I wanted to add to it with a second sowing but Marshalls postal arrangements got in the way.
Unfortunately I never received the seeds I ordered. I don't know if they got lost in the post or were just never sent but they didn't arrive so I had to go buy them from somewhere else as I urgently needed them for a university project.
