Kale Plants - Emerald Ice x24

  • Catalogue Code 1080-6327
  • Pack Contents: 24 Plants
  • Shows good winter hardiness
  • Ready to harvest when other home-grown greens are scarce
  • Sweeter than other kale varieties
  • Attractive ruffled leaves perfect for ornamental winter displays

Enjoy growing kale Emerald Isle, small cabbage-like plants showing off decorative ruffled white and green leaves. The leaves are so intricate that they look like they are touched with frost and look lovely grown with winter bedding like primroses and violas.

The leaves are naturally much sweeter than other kales, particularly the white parts- a great way to persuade vegetable sceptics that greens can be tasty as well as super healthy. Because Emerald Ice withstands winter conditions you are guaranteed home-grown greens at a time of the year when they are hard to come by.

Your 24 young plants arrive to your door in a pack that acts like a mini greenhouse so your plants receive the best light and ambient conditions while in transit from our nursery to your home. On planting we recommend you add Sulphate of Ammonia- specially formulated for effective leaf development.

  • Good in containers and pots
  • Will flower well in full sun
  • Will flower well in partial sun
