Growing Calendar for Just Julia - Sweet Pea Seeds
Delivery: 5-7 Working Days
With softly-ruffled blooms this RHS Award of Garden Merit variety makes an excellent investment in a south-facing part of your garden or on the allotment for colour.
Excellent cut-flower variety. Grow this variety up a sunny wall or scrambling up an established evergreen tree or shrub to give some colour in the summer months.
Sow seeds in September or October and overwinter indoors as young plants in a cold frame or greenhouse. Plant up in spring. Alternatively sow indoors in January-April; one seed per one deep-module so the roots have space to develop before planting out in May.
Good germination so far, so good
This is really rewarding as you get tons of potential plants for great value. You can keep seeds for a long time- even buying them out of season and waiting until the appropriate time of year. Read our guide on how to get successful flowers from seed.
