Growing Calendar for Iris germanica 'Ambassador' Bearded iris-Bulbs
Delivery: Late September to Late November
Flowering in early summer Bearded Iris add elegance and grandeur to any border.
The very large blooms are held on sturdy stems above fans of sword-like leaves. They may look exotic but they really are extremely hardy and will return year after year for your pleasure and enjoyment, these superb varieties can also be used for cutting.
Supplied as rhizomes which can be planted straight into the ground, plant them in a horizontal position and very shallowly - at least half the tuber should be above ground exposed to sunlight as this helps provide food for strong plant growth and flower production.
