Growing Calendar for Hydrangea Paniculata Vanille Fraise 3L Potted Shrub
Delivery: Despatched from Mid March
Fill pots or plant in borders Hydrangea paniculata Vanille Fraise so you get year- after-year large pyramid flower-heads appearing every August on hardy perennial shrubs. Watch the colour-changing flowers turn pink as they age in late summer and then deep raspberry-pink into autumn. The flower heads attract beneficial wildlife into your garden including honey bees and pest-eating hoverflies. Great news too for when you are growing crops nearby.
Even in the wettest summers Vanille Fraise thrives and gives you lots of flowers, lifting your mood in summer rain or shine.
The pyramidal flower heads are gorgeous growing on the hardy shrubs, and also lovely cut for vases indoors to decorate your windowsill, fire-place or tables.
How your Hydrangea paniculata Vanille Fraise plant arrives
In a 3 litre pot – perfect to plant in soil in spring
These plants arrive in a pot within a box to keep the plant sturdy and upright. The soil area may be covered in sacking or polythene to keep the soil moist which is ideal for the roots.
On arrival lift the plant gently out of the pot to check there are lots of roots showing on the sides of the soil.
Can’t plant straight away?
If you can't plant up your rose plant straight away, remove the sacking or polythene, and keep your potted plant in a sunny position. Keep the soil moist by watering each day. Look to planting into its permanent position within 5-7 days.
Shrubs offer visual interest all year round – whether in full leaf, full bloom or with bare stems set against the winter sky.
If you want to add height to your garden and increase the vertical interest consider planting a tree in your garden. There are trees particularly suited for gardens which don’t grow out of proportion to your property or develop too thick a canopy that blocks out sunlight.
