Hosta Queen Josephine - 9cm Shrub

  • Catalogue Code 5140-5209
  • Pack Contents: 9cm potted shrub
  • Colour-changing shiny leaves
  • Pretty lavender flowers in summer
  • Good tolerance to air pollutants
  • Weed-suppressing leaves
  • Compact growth, great for small spaces

Grow hosta Queen Josephine in your outdoor space for a handsome display of dark green, glossy leaves with attractive cream margins. These edges gradually turn white over the summer for an animated colour-changing display. Hosta Queen Josephine is a perennial plant with compact growth and upright habit, perfect for furnishing pots and beds in gardens, large and small.

Particularly suited for shady spots in the garden hosta Queen Josephine covers the soil and stops weeds from popping up in your flower beds. In summer this hosta produces tall stems of lavender-blue flowers, perfect for snipping off and adding to vases for your home.

Hostas make great garden plants in the country and in more built-up areas thanks to their good tolerance to pollutants. We recommend that you watch out for slugs and place slug controls and deterrents around your plants.

40cm (16in)

  • Hardy Perennial - sow indoors or on a seedbed (April-June); transplant later to flower for many seasons
