Green Manure Field Beans are of the greatest value when overwintered.

They can be cut once and allowed to re-grow to produce second flush of foliage before digging in.

Dig in any time up to flowering. Fixes Nitrogen, it will not tolerate drought conditions and prefers heavier/clay soil.

Sow Outdoors: September- October, direct into the required position, 2 beans, 1in (2cm) deep 4in (10cm) apart. Keep soil moist at all times.

Despite it saying you can plant from September to November, none have grown. I was hoping for something to help my clay soil.
