Green Manure Buckwheat is a fast growing short-term summer green manure for poor soils. Grows extremely fast, forming a dense canopy of foliage that smothers weeds and produces large amounts of organic matter.
A good source of calcium, its long roots extract nutrients from deep in the soil. When left to flower it attracts hoverflies whose larvae feed on aphids.
Improves soil texture and is a source of calcium.

Sow Outdoors: May-August, in a broad cast manner. Lightly rake the soil surface after sowing. Keep soil moist at all times.
Grow On: Chop and dig in the plants any time before flowering.
Use a strimmmer or lawn mower to chop down the foliage.
