Growing Calendar for Gooseberry Xenia - 3x 9cm Potted Plants
Delivery: Early September to Late July
Gooseberry Xenia is one of the sweetest gooseberries, and you can eat the fruits straight from the bush or add to delicious desserts. 3 plants for a fantastic harvest!
Proving to have superb resistance to mildew, a disease that restricts the growth and fruiting of gooseberries, the exceptionally sweet, smooth-skinned Gooseberry Xenia produces fruit towards the end of June and has almost spine free stems, making it easier for you to harvest.
Your plants on arrival
You receive your new plant as small a potted plant with the stem and leaves wrapped in a polythene wrap and a soil ball with an established root network for great growing potential.
Can’t plant right away?
You can keep your plant in its plastic wrap for as long as 3-5 days so long as you make sure the root area is nice and humid and the roots feel moist.
Keep your plants in a light, cool position away from full sun like an unheated porch or greenhouse, or even outdoors on a clear, dry day.
Look to planting your new plant in its permanent position within a week or so.
Gooseberry Xenia is protected by Plant Variety Rights and cannot be propagated even for own use and resold without licence.
