Offering velvety petals in a deep, dark purple, you will not be disappointed when Gladiolus Mombasa begins to bloom. These eye-catching flowers will also attract pollinators such as bees to your garden, helping to encourage the wildlife around you whilst adding a dramatic dimension to any display.
Gladioli can be planted in both borders to add height and structure or in pots and containers on patios and balconies if you are short in space, Mombasa will also look spectacular in a cut flower bouquet with contrasting colours such as white and yellow. Always plant more than you need to make sure you have abundant blooms for indoors as well your garden.
Try and place them in a sheltered spot in full sunshine. Plant in well-drained, moisture retentive soil for the best results. Plant some every few weeks between April and June and you will see the vivid, velvety blooms of Gladiolus Mombasa all summer long.
