Brighten up your meals, your garden and your mood with these green, purple and yellow French Beans- so vibrant! And economical – avoid the high prices at the supermarket of these choice variety just by growing yourself.
French beans are one of the easiest and most productive vegetables you can grow and now they’re also one of the most colourful. Conventionally they are grown up a wigwam but don’t look out of place in a flower border, adding height and colour with the added bonus of a delicious harvest. The French Bean Summer Medley Collection includes 3 great French Bean varieties, perfect for steaming or adding raw to summer salads.
Cobra is a green French Bean that can be grown as a runner bean and also under glass for an early crop. It produces huge deliciously tender and tasty crops of exceptional quality beans and has been awarded the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
Purple Cascade, as its name suggests, is a purple French Bean with a beautiful flavour to match its striking colour. They are ideal for steaming, stir fries and adding raw to summer salads.
Monte Gusto is a yellow French bean with high quality flat, yellow, tender, stringless pods between 25-30cm (10-12in) long. The pods mature early in the season and can be harvested throughout summer. With excellent vigour and good resistance to Bean Mosaic Virus, Monte Gusto is a good choice for any plot.
Poor start as they were almost dead when they arrived, but most have survived and are just starting to grow up the poles now.
Late delivery and in a very poor and dry condition. They had clearly moved in transit. Whether they survive or not I do not know.
The quality of the pants I received were very good. I had an e mail to say that the other plants that I had ordered were not of the quality they are prepared to send out. I was impressed by this.
Please unpack the plants as soon as you receive them and sit them in a tray of shallow water if they appear to have dried out in transit.
