Growing Calendar for Family Apple Tree x1
Delivery: Early November to Late May
A Unique and Fruitful Gift. Picking apples from your own trees is a dream for many keen gardeners but with a family tree it’s possible to grow a variety of different apples even in a small space.
Three varieties have been grafted onto the same tree to give a long cropping season of delicious apples. On this tree you will receive James Grieve, Falstaff & Fiesta.
James Grieve – An old variety of apple with a savoury taste, but makes a sweet and delicate stewed apple, can be used as a dessert apple too and also makes a good apple juice.
Falstaff – Frost resistant and self-fertile, which proves to be one of the heaviest yielding varieties apple that there is. Red Falstaff produces profuse amounts of blossom and is an excellent pollinator for other varieties.
Fiesta – A great cox-type apple with the classic aromatic and sweet-sharp flavour of a cox. The fruit has the attractive orangey flush of traditional English apples, Fiesta is the perfect juicing apple.
We may prune your tree before it arrives to your door. We do this to encourage your tree to branch freely which makes them better looking and more productive.
