Eranthis is more commonly known as winter aconite.
The bright yellow buttercup-like flowers are produced from as early as February making them one of the first bulbs of the year. They will spread gently until you have a carpet of colour in early spring.
Flowers and naturalises well in shade.
Flowers: February - April.
