Echinacea Hot Papaya - Plants

  • Catalogue Code 5120-7396
  • Pack Contents: 3x Echinacea Perennial Plants
  • Stunning and exotic
  • Make vibrant displays
  • Fully hardy to UK weather

A striking hardy perennial revealing lots of densely-filled flowers in flaming orange. Great for a tropical-looking flower bed with accompanying hot-coloured flowers like dahlias, kniphofias and heleniums.

Plant in rich, nutritious compost where the roots will thrive to give lots of fiery flowers. We recommend you add rich compost if your existing soil is shallow and dry. This improves the soil and your Hot Papaya plants will give you lots of flowers from June to August in return. If you fancy cutting some flowers for selling, this is a fantastic variety to choose.

Add Echinacea Hot Papaya to flower border that gets lots of sun; just dot three young plants around a square metre space. You can even grow Hot Papaya in pots; position just one young plant to a 30cm container and water well at planting.

Easy- maintenance, Hot Papaya is happy to grow unaided. Simply cut the stems to the ground from September and your flowers will put up lots of fresh new flowering stems next year for an even more impressive display.

Perennial plants are the mainstay of the flower garden; many will flower all summer, becoming dormant in autumn to reappear in spring. Perennials tend to be non-fussy plants and are easy to look after - they just need the old stems cutting back in late autumn, which helps to promote new stems and vigorous growth the following spring, getting bigger and better every year!
