The compassionate crop which saves children and families in Africa.
By buying seeds of Kenya bean Safari you will be helping local African farming communities as you contribute to a regular income there so farmers can invest in local facilities.
From a national level the UK’s Department for International Development (DFID) has started up a £1.9 million challenge fund, to curtail poverty in Africa by improving the income of the rural poor. From a home-grower’s point of view you simply do your bit by keeping Kenya bean Safari in business.
Enjoy harvesting handfuls of beans in summer, from July to September from the variety recognised by the Royal Horticultural Society for its impressive cropping and maturity time. Growing a row of French beans keeps weeds at bat as they provide a canopy of leaves which deny opportunistic weeds of light to grow.
