Growing Calendar for Dianthus Wee Willie - Plants
Delivery: Mid April to Mid May
A cute carnation-like flower with an alluring inner-ring on the petals. Every plant puts up flowers in varying shades of mauves and white.
Developments in plant breeding makes this disease-resistant Dianthus a perfect choice for your garden. Pretty and heavenly-scented, Wee Willie fits in a courtyard garden display, a cottage garden or a wall-side border. This dwarf variety suits small pots and the front of borders.
Pack closely together (around 5-10cm apart) and pretty Wee Willie keeps weeds down too on account of its compact and endearing dwarf growth.
We recommend you position Wee Willie at the front of your flower borders if you are growing them directly in soil so you can see them when ambling in the garden and from indoors if relaxing with a cup of tea.
Plant them in a sunny site or one that receives sun for some of the day into compost or loamy soil. If your soil is dense and clay-like, add some compost in it to give it a healthy structure perfect for your plants.
We deliver to you 48 young plants in a plastic case that acts like a greenhouse for your young plants, giving them the conditions they need before you plant them out in containers or in your borders.
