Add ice plant Delosperma Suntropics Red to your outdoor space and enjoy hundreds of daisy-like blooms with elegant red petals and sun-like centres.

The aloe-like green leaves allow this great flower to withstand the driest of conditions and they stand up to any hot summer given they are placed in a sunny position. You can plant Delosperma Suntropics Red in a rock garden, filling in pockets around the rocks and forming a natural carpet of hot flowers to maximise space.

Ideal for sunny wallside borders or containers where the plants cascade over the edge. If you want to create a paradise of hot colours Delosperma Suntropics Red does just the job. Try combining with the hot colours of dahlias, lantanas and cannas and deep red petunias. This will also bring in beneficial pollinators like honey bees and hoverflies, likely to pollinate the flowers of nearby soft fruit and fruiting vegetables too, to give you maximum crops.

Useful Tip:

Suntropics Red comes back year after year given the right treatment. Just be sure to cover with fleece or bring pots under cover once the autumn is over. Delosperma is hardy in cold conditions but not hardy in cold and wet conditions as a combination
