Excellent supermarket-standard cucumbers. Dark green, this variety produces long smooth fruit appearing freely on plants indoors. The healthy plants show resistance to mildew ensuring harvests continue into late summer without being affected by disease, ensure you great salad-enhancing fruit.
One plant should produce up to 10 cucumber fruits. Grow multiple packets of seeds to have enough cucumbers for mint sauces, salads and snacks.
We recommend you sow indoors from April to May ½ inch (1cm) deep in individual module seed trays filled with seed compost, pre-watered and firmed down slightly. Place in a warm environment at 21°C (70°F). If you cover your module seed tray with a plastic lid and place on a sunny windowsill you will attain this temperature. Keep the compost moist at all times.
Transplant your seedlings in April – June into the greenhouse border or growbags and maintain an ambient temperature from around 10°C (50°F).
Encourage good growth by tying climbing stems onto canes with string or netting. Keep well-watered and feed regularly.
Tip - Pick regularly when fruit is 8in (20cm). Water regularly . Once fruits starts to swell feed with a liquid fertiliser.
