These autumn-flowering, Saffron crocus bulbs are renowned for their long red stigma. These are commercially grown to produce saffron, gathered and dried to give a spice that, at times, has been more valuable than gold.
We can't promise these Saffron crocuses will make you a fortune it takes a 150 flowers to yield a gram of saffron but we can promise these crocus bulbs are easy and fun to grow. The translucent purple flowers will brighten up the garden and you'll get some home grown saffron to use in the kitchen too.
