Growing Calendar for Courgette Tuscany (May despatch) - Plants
Delivery: Mid May to Late May
Add Courgette Tuscany to your vegetable plot to give you high yields of very dark, straight fruits which make easy harvesting and chopping in the kitchen. Because these courgettes are held on erect, spineless plants the harvesting is even easier with no painful spines.
Tuscany is an F1 hybrid variety with naturally good vigour to give you lots of courgettes through the summer. It’s well suited to our cooler climate, growing well even in the colder North or on exposed sites. An excellent performer, it has very good mildew resistance.
We recommend you place straw beneath courgette plants if you have particularly damp soil so the developing courgettes are not sitting on a cold, wet surface which can cause them to rot.
My crop is fantastic. Great produce. Courgette & Lemon risotto for dinner.
The seedlings were tiny when they arrived. They have grown a little since they were planted out a week ago. Time will tell whether we get a courgette or not this summer!
Please unpack the plants as soon as you receive them and sit them in a tray of shallow water if they appear to have dried out in transit.
Once you have received our superb young plants follow these simple instructions...
