Courgette 'Tuscany' is well suited to the UK climate and will fruit well even in the North!
Producing high yields of very dark, straight fruits, the plants have an erect, open habit with very few spines making picking easy.
Very good powdery mildew resistance.
Very good for UK climate, and powdery mildew resistance.
Sow Indoors: April-May ½in (1cm) deep in individual module trays of firm pre watered compost. Temperature 21°C (70°F). Keep soil moist at all times.
Sow Outdoors: May-June ½in (1cm) deep direct in harvest location or in clean module trays of firm pre watered compost. Keep soil moist at all times.
Plant Out: June. Harden off young plants before planting out into the required harvest position 3ft (90cm) apart when risk of frost has passed.
Pick regularly when fruit is 4in (10cm).
Not one of the seeds germinated for me, I tried them all. Waste of money, not very happy.
another germination failure, three came up, one normally, the other two only half the cotyledon leaf was there, the remainder was stuck in the seed case and had rotted. I potted them up, but they ar growing very slowly and not making root growth. I found the remaining in the soil seeds intact, but when squeezed, the contents came out like toothpaste.Again I bought a second packet from the garden centre, germinated them under the same conditions with 100% success.
