Growing Calendar for Chilli Seeds - Basket of Fire
Delivery: Mid July to Late August
Hot and fiery! Compact plants produce an extremely high number of fruits. It has good cold tolerance resulting in a longer cropping time. The trailing habit makes it a good choice for containers and hanging baskets.
Grow in a conservatory, greenhouse or on a sunny patio.
Sow Indoors: February-April thinly, in clean trays of firm pre watered compost, cover with ¼in (½cm) of vermiculite or sieved compost. Place in warmth 15-20°C (60-70°F) and keep moist at all times.
Prick Out: When large enough to handle, transplant into 3½in (7cm) pots to establish.
Grow On: Plant out into individual pots or growing bags at a minimum of 15°C (60°F)
Feed regularly to increase flowering and fruiting.
Trailing habit good for containers.
Never germinated even with bottom heat
