Growing Calendar for Chilli Pepper Seeds - Jalapeno

The original fiery chilli pepper.
The 2in/5cm, plump and glossy green fruits (later red) are freely produced on short, branching plants.
Try them thinly sliced in salads and sandwiches, stuffed with cottage cheese or cooked to create hot and spicy dishes.
The original chilli, compact plant goes from green to red.
Sow Indoors: February-April individually, in clean 9cm pots or module trays of firm pre watered compost, cover with ½in (1cm) of vermiculite or sieved compost. Place in warmth 18-21°C (65-70°F) and keep moist at all times.
Grow On: At 10-15°C (50-60°F) until late May. When established, plant into a 9in (22cm) patio pot or Grow Bag and leave in the greenhouse or place in a sunny sheltered position when risk of frost has passed.
Feed regularly and water more frequently as a crop forms.
